That's great! Those that have described getting excellent results with inverse telecining/decombing filters in Handbrake were working with DVD images.

I certainly appreciate your feeling gratified in producing video equivalent to the original film. I doubt that many old movies would be available now though, nor would I have acquired a love of old movies if I hadn't been for TV broadcasts. As technology improves I imagine telecining and interlacing will disappear, and these old movies will be obtainable as originally made.
